I’m Grace. I’m a portrait photographer specializing in newborns, children, and families. Eight years ago I picked up a camera and never looked back! Photography has become my passion, and I’m incredibly thankful for the chance to serve families by capturing images that can be passed down for generations.
WHERE DOES THE NAME COME FROM?
The M stands for Madeline, my first name. I am named after my maternal great-grandmother, a humble and kind mother and wife. Grace, the name my friends and family call me, is actually my middle name.
Hawthorne is the English translation of my maiden name, which is the German word for the dainty white-flowered/red-berried garden bush known in English as a “hawthorn.”
I live in Boston, Massachusetts with my husband, our son Jack, and Weimaraner, Sir Francis Drake. For the past ten years I’ve worked as a nurse in both the neonatal intensive care unit and allergy department. Words can’t express how much I love caring for my patients and their families!
In my spare time, you can find me curled up with a cup of coffee, reading a new book, or exploring new sights with my husband and son, whether it’s a trip abroad or a new restaurant next door. Want to chat? Let’s grab coffee!
Your family photos should be
FILLED WITH laughter, joy, AND light
and be TIMELESS and CHERISHED for
years and years to come.
